I’m a writer and musician based in northern New Mexico. I spent my youth cutting my teeth writing songs and touring around the country before building my freelance writing career in my late twenties. What began as a way to write about the challenges of being a serious musician in the modern music industry quickly evolved into a passion as deep and vivid as my love for songwriting.
These days, I split my time evenly between music-making and writing. My work has been featured in Slate, Variety, and Santa Fe’s The Magazine. I currently make music under the name Straight White Teeth and compose music for TV, podcasts, and film. In 2018, my song “Lifetime” charted at #6 on KCRW’s show Morning Becomes Eclectic in Los Angeles.
